Intro and Challenges

Vrescano, the sole distributor of Café 26 products in Singapore since 2010, partnered with us for a website migration project. Their goal was to significantly improve the usability of their digital storefront while carefully preserving their established brand identity. With a diverse product portfolio and a growing online presence, Vrescano needed a website that could scale with their business, streamline operations, and deliver a consistent experience for their customers.

Solutions

Vrescano had a clear objective: a seamless website migration to a new content management system (CMS), specifically WordPress, without requiring a full visual redesign. Their primary goal was to enhance the efficiency and manageability of their e-commerce website, while preserving the core brand identity their customers already recognised.

This WordPress website migration was a strategic opportunity to address long-standing usability issues that had begun to hinder both customer experience and internal operations. While the website’s design was to be retained, the underlying issues such as inconsistent layouts, outdated information architecture, broken links, and missing features like search functionality were affecting both usability and operational efficiency.

Although there was no major visual redesign, LivelyGreen approached this WordPress migration as an opportunity to significantly improve the site’s consistency, usability, and overall performance.

Key Enhancements:

Technical Migration:

  • We successfully migrated all existing content and functionality into a customised WordPress CMS. This ensured greater scalability and made content management much easier for the Vrescano team.

UX and Structural Enhancements:

  • Conducted a focused UX audit to pinpoint areas of user difficulty (“friction points”) and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Improved navigation clarity and restructured menus for more intuitive product discovery.
  • Introduced a product search function, addressing a key gap in user accessibility.

Design Consistency Review:

  • Standardised typography, color palette, and layout components to eliminate visual inconsistencies across the site.
  • Removed redundant content and streamlined page structures to aid both users and internal editors.

Back-End Efficiency:

  • Built custom product management workflows, specifically tailored to the Vrescano team’s operational needs.
  • Simplified content publishing and updates without compromising layout integrity.

Impact

While this project wasn’t about reinventing the wheel, it was certainly about refining the ride. Through a thoughtful website migration and strategic enhancements, we helped Vrescano streamline their online operations while delivering a more consistent, accessible, and truly customer-friendly digital experience.
