NQO Singapore: Scaling Brand Presence through Accessible Information Design

Intro and Challenges

National Quantum Office Singapore (NQO) aims to increase visibility among students, industry partners, and international collaborators while positioning Singapore as a leading global hub for quantum research and innovation. Hosted by A*STAR Singapore, National Quantum Office Singapore (NQO) required strategic brand assets to clearly communicate its national role and key quantum programmes.

The primary challenge was balancing multiple stakeholders, messages, and logos within a clean, cohesive environmental branding suite that works both as a series and as standalone pieces. We had to fit a substantial amount of information — spanning talent development, strategic partnerships, and commercialisation — into a high-impact visual format without compromising clarity or aesthetics. These large-format communication assets also needed to translate complex, abstract quantum concepts into clear visuals while adhering to strict corporate guidelines.

Solutions

The strategic brand asset design utilised:

  • Clear Navigation: Strong headlines, bold colour blocks, and simple icons were used to guide viewers through the content from top to bottom.
  • Global Positioning: We integrated real imagery and Singapore city visuals to position NQO as a national and global leader.
  • Visual Consistency: Our design approach utilised consistent brand elements, allowing these high-impact displays to stand well independently or function as an integrated series.
